Who We Are

unnamed-2.jpg

The true driving force behind Spruce Up Anchorage (SUA) is not Paul, nor trees, nor making sure that the urban canopy is redeveloped. The true cornerstone of SUA is Betsy Guzenski, Paul's late mother. It is because of her character, and because of the values she instilled in Paul that this program exists today. Her legacy is the reason that SUA has made the move to become a charitable organization with a purpose that hits close to home. Our goal is to help bring light, compassion, and financial help to women, people, and families who find themselves in the clutches of a life changing breast cancer diagnosis.

SUA will continue to donate spruce trees to the residents of Anchorage but now will also help families and individuals affected by breast cancer. Read on to learn more about our organization, our board, and about Betsy herself.
